Scopepin vs Marker.io

Marker.io is a website feedback and bug reporting tool that sends annotated screenshots, with technical details, into tools like Jira. Scopepin does the client feedback part too, and adds what it's for: it flags requests outside the agreed scope and turns them into priced change requests your client approves.

Why agencies pick Scopepin

It notices scope creep for you

Each request is checked against the scope you agreed. The ones outside it are flagged privately, with the reason, as they arrive.

Extra work turns into an invoice line

Bundle out-of-scope requests into a priced change request. Your client approves each item from an email link, with no login.

You see the page they saw

A snapshot of the page, rebuilt at their screen size with the pin on the element, plus console lines, errors and failed requests.

When Marker.io is the better pick

  • Developers who live in Jira, Linear or GitHub and want every report to become a ticket there.
  • Watching what the person did before they reported it (session replay).
  • Bug reports from your own customers on a live product, not only client review.

If you build sites for clients on a fixed scope and the small extras are where your margin goes, that's what Scopepin is for.

Questions

Does Scopepin send feedback to Jira like Marker.io?

Not yet. Scopepin keeps feedback in its own dashboard and replies by email. If every report must become a Jira ticket, Marker.io fits better today.

Does Scopepin capture console logs?

Yes, on every plan: the last console lines, JavaScript errors and failed network requests from the page where the comment was left.

Do my clients see anything different from Marker.io?

They click a Feedback button on the site, pin a comment and type their name and email the first time, much like Marker.io. They never see a scope flag or a price unless you send them a change request.

How current is this comparison?
