1Create a project for the client's site
In Scopepin, add a project and list every address the site runs on: the framer.website address and the live domain.
The script only accepts feedback from the addresses you list, so a copy of the line pasted on another site does nothing. List client.com and it covers www.client.com too. The project page then shows your install line, with the project's own key in place of sp_….
2Paste the line into Framer
In Framer, open the project's Site Settings, find Custom Code, paste the line into the box for the end of the <body> tag, and publish.
Code there is added to every page of the published site, after the page content, so it never slows the first view.
<script src="https://scopepin.com/w/v1.js" data-key="sp_…" async></script>If Framer asks you to upgrade before it will save custom code, the site needs a plan that includes it.
3Publish, then test it yourself
Publish the site, open it, click Feedback and pin a comment. It appears in your dashboard with a snapshot of the page.
Custom code doesn't run in Framer's preview, only on the published site, so publish and test on the live address. The first time you send, the widget asks for your name and email, the way it will ask your client. Nobody needs an account.
What happens next
Each comment is checked against the scope you agreed with the client. The ones that go beyond it are flagged privately, and you can bundle them into a priced change request your client approves from a link.
Questions
Do my clients need a login?
No. They click Feedback on the site, pin a comment and type their name and email the first time. That's it.
Will it slow the site down?
The line loads after the page, and the part that captures the page snapshot only loads when someone sends feedback.
Can I add it to one page only?
Yes. Each page's settings have their own custom code boxes; paste the line into the end of <body> box there instead.
Does it work on the free framer.website address?
Yes, as long as that address is listed on the project.
How do I remove it after launch?
Delete the line where you added it and publish. The feedback you collected stays in your dashboard.
Setting up on another platform?
Put it on your next Framer build.
Free for one project, with unlimited clients and reviewers.
